The highlight of my day

I have needed to find out Andy's social security number so I can do our taxes, but his card is packed away because I didn't know I was going to be here this long. I have called the office a couple times, searched on the SS website for "How to find out your child's social security number" and all I got were run-a-rounds and other wrong turns like "Social Security" (for the retired). FINALLY, today I called up the SS office AGAIN and I stuck it out on hold for about 15 mins. The lady that answered was really nice and she told me that I needed to bring in Andy's medical file. "Medical file?" I asked myself- do I have that or does the base? She couldn't really answer my question, but I assumed the base has it. Anyway, she said that if I brought the file there is always something there that they can use. I asked, "what are you looking for?" and she said, "anything with his name and birthdate on it." I asked, "what about his shot record?" "Generally a shot record doesn't have that information on it", she replied. Well, I took a look at his shot record and lo and behold- it had the information I needed! WOOHOO!!
