Beck on the Honda XR50
I pretty much had to work myself up to go over the jump without chickening-out. When I finally did it, my cousin was able to get 2 pics of me just going UP the jump lol. Looks like I'm going to have to make another visit to my brother's house to practice. :) Don't get me wrong though, motocross isn't the ONLY reason we like going to see them! :)

Park & Ride and WEEE
Today Andy and I met up with some other moms w/ their kids from church at a park this morning and had a blast! Andy conquored the entire "castle" and went down the slide all by himself with a "1...2...weeee!" as a push to get himself going. A few rounds of this, then tried the "big kid" swings- which he liked. We left about noon and on the way home, he was staring out the window with his mouth open already! He is still sleeping and it's almost 4. S'pose I should go wake him up... nah.

Weekend Treats
Anyway, beside the fact of that minor misunderstanding ;) we had a fun BBQ, I made my grandma's family favorite "Chocolate Bit Cake" which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we had fun the night prior while Scott & Ang went on a date, Mike & I partied with the kids and watched Kung Fu Panda.
After 2 days of sharing toys, I mean, playing hard with cousins, Andy was easily mesmerized by a 'Noggin' (preschool channel) show. As you can see, he is not either playing nor eating while watching TV- I couldn't get a better view from the front- with his mouth hanging open.

3 Trick or Treaters, 2 Coloring Turkeys, and a Sword-fighter who wears a tree skirt
Trick or Treat! Ok, so its a little late, but better late than never, aye? Mike was on duty, so Andy & I rendezvous-ed at our friends' Perry & Michele's house. Afterward, we stayed a bit to chill and when I went to look for my car keys.... uh-oh, no keys! So I spent an hour looking up and down the streets in their neighborhood and...nothing. Thankfully, it was Mike's car keys I lost, so I still had MY set in my purse. (for those of you wondering why I "risked" taking Mike's keys, as I was leaving our house, HIS keys were so readily available and I had so much stuff in my arms and hands that it was just easier instead of rummaging around in my purse for my own.) Sadly, there's more- my purse was in the car-- that was locked. So I called our insurance company and they sent out a guy to unlock the car. Michele said she would put up signs for lost keys and check the office on Monday. So, sure enough -somebody had turned them in! So we all have our keys, and all is right with the world again. Whew!
Andy as you can see, dressed as Tigger, and the girls went as pirates! :)
All of us helped in setting up the tree... Andy is still confused with what the term "help" means.

Oktoberfest
I was wanting to do something fun since it is fall and everything (yeay!) and I found out where the Oktoberfest was going on near us. Thinking that this would be the perfect place to take great pictures and videos of all kinds of fall things with my family, I was focused on bringing the camera. So focused, in fact, that when we got there, I realised I had forgotten the media card! Being slightly annoyed, I still tried to have a good time anyway. The theme was German, so we had a brat & lemonade & a chocolate covered frozen banana- which Andy thought was quite tasty. After we were done eating, we took Andy to the fountain to play.

Characters are Emerging
What usually happens when he's not supposed to touch the monitor:
Like father like son
He actually sat and watched an entire 30 minute Veggie Tales episode in his chair (while eating snacks!) Ahhh~ it's finally here- his attention span is FINALLY increasing!!!
(Now let's see if this characteristic can be passed back to daddy-oh well, there's always hope!! ;)
To our friends back home, we miss you all so much. Thank you for your prayers for our house (and anything extra! :) Hope all is going well with all of you & hope to hear from you soon!
